Easy listening for a summer's evening featuring Stefan Koppenall and the Slow Swing Movement from Amsterdam together with local Swingband Anything Goes directed by John Franklin - Traditional swing, original compositions and unique arrangements all played in the old Django style. Stefan belongs to the long line of great Dutch guitarists like Fapy Lafertin, Rino Van Hooijdonk and Jan De Jong who are keeping the pure Django style alive. These musicians focus on the melodic aspects of Django's playing, developing ideas and crafting more subtle phrases in a time where most people go for speed and virtuosity for virtuosity's sake. This is where the name 'The Slow Swing Movement' comes in.
